Team Spotlight : Joy

Real progress comes from showing up, being patient with yourself, and trusting the process.
— Joy

Since joining the team in December, Joy has been an integral part of our studio family. Not only does she keep all systems running smoothly, but she’s been a familiar face and a friendly conversation between classes for all our students and teachers.

When asked what she loves most about Center Street Studios, she said “This studio truly is one-of-a-kind, and really is a place for everyone to feel like they belong”.

That feeling of belonging made an impression from the very beginning. "I immediately felt so welcomed by both the students and teachers when I began working here. Everyone here is so kind, supportive, and encouraging of one another. I love seeing how that continues to carry over as the studio grows."

One of her favorite memories? March Matness!

Before working at Center Street Studios, she had very little experience with Pilates or yoga, but spending the month collecting photos and videos for our March Matness challenge gave her a front-row seat to the incredible dedication of our community. "It gave me a chance to see your progress, appreciate how much dedication goes into each class, and connect with so many of you throughout the month. It was such a fun way to learn more about Pilates while getting to know this amazing community even more."

Now it's time for an exciting new chapter.

This September, she'll be heading across the pond to begin a Master of Science in Marketing and Consumer Psychology at the University of Sussex, with hopes of pursuing a career in market research after graduation. While we're incredibly sad to see her go, we couldn't be more excited to watch her chase this dream.

Before saying goodbye, she wanted to leave our community with one final message:

"Thank you for reminding me that real progress comes from showing up, being patient with yourself, and trusting the process. Keep celebrating every milestone, no matter how big or small, and never underestimate what you're capable of. Time spent showing up for yourself and for others is never a waste."

And finally:

"Thank you for making this studio feel like home and letting me be a small part of your routines. I'll be cheering you all on from afar."

We're going to miss the warmth, positivity, and genuine kindness she brought to the front desk every day, but we know this is only the beginning of an exciting adventure. From all of us at Center Street Studios, thank you for being such a wonderful part of our community.

Good luck—we'll be cheering you on, too. 💙
