Teacher Spotlight : Janelle

Yoga isn’t about the ‘perfect’ pose, but the process of showing up.
— Janelle

Janelle’s yoga journey started exactly where yours might have—on a mat at Center Street Studios. Before she was teaching, Janelle was a student here, discovering the practice that would eventually become her life's work. Nearly a decade later, she's earned her 500-hour certification, co-led a 200-hour teacher training, and returned to Center Street with even more experience, wisdom, and joy to share.

For Janelle, yoga is about so much more than movement.

"Yoga isn't about the 'perfect' pose, but the process of showing up."

She loves creating a space where students can care for themselves, honor what their bodies need, and let their authentic light shine. Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or have practiced for years.

Her most profound teaching moments happen when she witnesses a student transform from a feeling of overwhelm and disconnect to feeling joyful and at ease in their movement.

Janelle's Vinyasa Flow classes are equal parts energizing, creative, and grounding—with just enough playful challenge to leave you feeling stronger, lighter, and more connected than when you walked in.

And if you're wondering whether you'll fit in?

"My goal is to help the practice meet you exactly where you are so you can simply enjoy the journey."

We're so happy to have Janelle back where it all began. Welcome home, Janelle—we're lucky to flow with you.

We asked Janelle “If your yoga style were a playlist what three songs would be on it?” and she said

Can you feel it - John Pattern

Grateful - St. Finnikin

Be (acoustic) - Hozier
