Kia Ora: Jess in New Zealand

This month, Jess has been studying abroad in New Zealand as part of a marine mammal conservation program.

From whale watching in Kaikōura to meeting the impossibly adorable Hector's dolphins—the smallest dolphin species in the world—to hiking through Arthur's Pass, watching breathtaking sunrises over New Brighton Pier, and even stopping to admire New Zealand's famously abundant sheep, she's been immersing herself in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

Of course she hasn't been able to resist breaking into yoga poses whenever the scenery called for it!

While we have missed Jessica’s presence in the studio, and we are eager for her return, we’re so proud of her! We have such deep admiration for her respect and care for the environment, her sense of adventure and her desire to stretch herself academically and personally. The best teachers never stop being students, and Jessica is a shining example of that!
